Handwoven Scarves - Egyptian Cotton Copper Copper is a wonderful metal. When new, it's a rich golden-orange color. As it ages, it goes through a variety of color changes, gradually darkening to a deep sepia before then gaining a patina of verdigris. All those colors - shades of copper, rust, and green - are found in this gorgeous handmade scarf. Woven from hand painted yarns colored by a fiber artist, these scarves will show your style and grace for many years to come. The Egyptian cotton makes these scarves very smooth to the touch. They are also extremely supple, draping beautifully. Handwoven with thin threads, these scarves are very lightweight and versatile. Slightly different, the scarf on the left is handwoven with a basket weave, and has a solid copper weft, creating soft stripes along the length of the scarf. The one on the right was woven in a tabby pattern, and uses the same multi-colored yarn throughout for a very subtle plaid effect. Choose the one that best suits you, or I'll be happy to select for you. These beautiful handwoven Egyptian cotton scarves are finished with a simple fringe that will last for many years due to the hand hemming that's done while the fabric is still on the loom. These Egyptian cotton scarves are 9" wide and 72" long, plus 5" of fringe at each end. You'll have so many wrapping options you can wear it differently every day of the week. I prefer to hand launder all my handwovens, but you can use gentle cycles on machines for these Egyptian cotton scarves if you prefer. |
