I just love this scarf! Something about its colors reminds me of my childhood - perhaps I had a favorite dress that I can't remember distinctly, or maybe it was the color of my mom's spring coat, but whatever it is, I can't help but smile when I look at this handwoven scarf.
This hand painted bamboo cotton yarn was dyed in various hues of a beautiful red that seems to have undertones of coral & peach. When I then turned it into a handwoven scarf, it resulted in the lovely checks and stripes that you see here. Like all my bamboo cotton scarves, these Scarlet Rose beauties are remarkably soft and flexible, with great drape.
Look and feel great as you toss this handmade scarf over your shoulders when you wear your little black spaghetti-strap dress for an evening out, or for a more casual look, use a simple drape on a white t-shirt.
Whether you choose twill (on left) or plain weave (on right), you'll get a handwoven scarf that is 6 1/2" wide and 52" long with a 2 1/2" hand-knotted fringe.
For best results, please hand wash this scarf in cold water and lay it flat to dry.
